I am an abdominal surgeon at Universitiy Medical Centre Ljubljana, Department of Abdominal Surgery, Slovenia. My field of work is mainly emergency abdominal surgery, colorectal surgery, laparoscopic colorectal surgery. I also work together with nephrologists in a team, that manages patients on peritoneal dialysis. I perform laparoscopic insertions of peritoneal dialysis catheters for chronic peritoneal dialysis. My PhD research was inflammatory response and immunologic aspects of open and laparoscopic colorectal resections.
